Oh, Jimin just always has that piercing stare- even in these “Wake Up” concept photos from late 2014!
Our Mochi was already working his duality in this new Japanese market with his dark hair and smooth dance moves. He’s 20 while BTS is promoting this first Japanese studio album and we especially see his teasing personality peek through during the three MVs from this timeframe. He can look fairly sultry one moment and then give us the cutest grin ever!
His hip-hop vibe isn’t quite as apparent as before and as each album is released, his look gets a big softer and we see the warmer, sweeter Jimin we know, and love shine through.
His vocals stand out in these updated versions of the songs as do his dance skills. Plus, when we’re watching some of these backstage clips, he seems quite comfortable with the language and seems easy-going in front of the camera. He’s obviously becoming quite used to his idol trajectory!
He’ll continue to thrive with all his talent as BTS just keeps becoming more and more popular in this important market. Japan is the second largest consumer of music in the world (after the United States) so Big Hit and BTS both knew the value of setting their mark in this country. And the guys are definitely doing their part- including Jimin and all his lovely, lovely, lovely, lovely ways!
