No matter the year and no matter the country, j-hope is always everyone’s HOPE! 
Here he is at 21 with his brown hair, looking sharp as ever in these “Wake Up” concept photos from late 2014. This timeframe shows us a j-hope that’s really not too far off of the wonderful guy we know today- he’s the triple threat, even then!
For this Japanese market, our ray of sunshine continues to shine brightly as a rapper, singer/songwriter and dancer. The videos we’ve watched show how solid his performing is and we see, thanks to the writing credits on “Wake Up,” how he’s held his own, along with Suga and RM, in the lyrics department. Finally, the overall precise choreography we see performed by the whole group in this MVs must be credited to his position as their top-notch Dance Leader too.
j-hope seems to become smitten with this country, its J-ARMY as well as the culture and fashion. He’ll even film two episodes of his V-Log “Hope on the Street” in Japan with Japanese choreographer Kazane Kasai, later, in 2018.
We ponder this with so many of the members but we always love to look at circa 2014 j-hope in Japan and wonder if he had any idea of all the cool experiences he’s still yet to try- all the amazing ways his dancing will continue to bless him.
What an exciting it was for him then! Plus it’s still pretty exciting now as well as all that is still yet to come! Wow!
