Just like us, Japanese fans (J-ARMY) love Jin! 
And when we look at the early “Wake Up” concept photos of him from 2014, we can see why they were smitten from the very beginning- and still are today! He’s 23 here and his dark brown hair just complements his Worldwide Handsome features. His voice is becoming clearer and stronger- which is stirring up quite a bit of interest in Japan too!
As the first, and official, Visual of BTS, he has always caught any audience’s attention- this Japanese market is no exception. We see him very prominent in those Japanese music videos we watched yesterday and as the BTS big brother, definitely striking a noticeable presence in group photos and interview clips. The Japanese ARMY (often referred to as, J-ARMY) took notice right away and our Jin has been an on-going social media trend there ever since.
Mr. Worldwide Handsome has topped Japan’s celebrity popularity polls year after year and his voice is still a top search on their various internet platforms. Even more recently, his solo BTS song, “Moon” off of “Map of the Soul : 7” debuted higher on the Japanese charts than the solo tunes released by the other members plus he was the only one to receive a standing ovation after his solo stage of “Epiphany” while touring in Japan. Even though he looks pretty cool and confident in this image from late 2014, we can’t imagine he knew what success the next few years would bring- in both Japan and throughout the rest of the world. He has earned it ALL! So well-deserved!
