Let’s keep talking about Suga and learn more about his music. This lyric is from his iconic song, “SeeSaw” and it’s one of our very favorites.

The song was released on May 24, 2018 and appears on the “Love Yourself : Answer” album. It’s about the stages of a relationship; the back and forth of a seesaw, wondering if this is really the person you want to be with. We love how the song showcases not only his rap skills but also his full-on singing voice plus we can hear how expertly he’s produced it. Especially fantastic? Seeing him perform it live.

There is so much that is impressive when it comes to Suga and his success across so many fields in the music industry. As we’ve already touched on, he’s a rapper, songwriter and a producer. He’s so well-respected having created amazing work for BTS, himself as a soloist and for other artists too.

There have been several stellar collaborations and two very popular ones include with Halsey for “Suga’s Interlude” and also IU’s “eight”. With the latter song, it won several top prizes throughout the 2020 awards season. Congratulations!

Suga has ventured off on his own and released very popular solo endeavors too. His first mixtape (a term used to describe a compilation of solo songs) was released in 2016 via the platform Soundcloud, for free. Some of the songs touched on his struggles with depression and social phobias. It later was re-released in a digital format and went more mainstream. He began to go by the moniker Agust D and has since released additional critically acclaimed solo music. We’ll touch more on that later!

Yoongi, Suga and Agust D are ALL so wildly talented, we’re in awe of all of them! With all that this gifted BTS member has overcome and all that he continues to navigate seem to fuel his creative fire. We wonder what’s been ignited while he’s been away on this medical leave. Maybe there will be some amazing new music for us down the road. What do you think?
